Biology Olympiad Triumph

Moreton’s budding Biologists succeed in British Biology Olympiad.

This year 7,800 students took part in the British Biology Olympiad run by the Society of Biology. The challenging paper on biological topics is open to students across the UK and aims to challenge and stimulate students with an interest in Biology. Moreton Hall is delighted that nine girls have achieved awards or medals in this year’s Biology Olympiad. Lily (U6), who has an offer to study medicine at Cambridge, received a Silver Medal.

“The Olympiad tests a very broad biological interest and knowledge and it is very exciting to know that we have such a capable group of biologists here at Moreton,” enthused Head of Biology, Hannah Peel. She continued: “For so many of our biologists to win awards in this challenging competition is an excellent achievement. I was especially pleased that five Lower Sixth girls achieved high awards this year.”
