Community and Charities

Moreton encourages all pupils to actively participate in charitable causes in a number of ways throughout their careers at the school.
Through the Divisional system, all pupils in the school play a part in charitable events and giving as each of the four divisions chooses a charity to support each year.

The Moreton Hall Charities Group involves girls from Lower 5 to Upper 6 in running, participating in and creating fun events with the principal aim of raising money for charities and causes. In the past two years the Charities Committee has raised over £2000 through many initiatives such as participating in a Dragon Boat Race, fund-raising for Severn Hospice, organising a Harry Potter Day for Halloween including a Quidditch match for the whole school, organising ‘Breakfast in Bed’ in aid of Comic Relief, working with prefects to devise a Remembrance service in aid of the Poppy Appeal, cake sales in aid of chosen charities; running and marketing a Dog Show on Parents’ Day in aid of Divisional Charities, manning a stall at the League of Friends of Gobowen Hospital Fete.
