Exceptional Results at Annual Shropshire Festival of Verse and Prose

The annual Shropshire Festival of Verse and Prose was once again hosted at Moreton Hall on the 10th and 11th of October.

It was, as always, a great success: Over 400 people (both children and adults) took part, with competitors attending from across Shropshire and beyond.

The Festival provides an opportunity to gain confidence in public speaking, allows competitors to hear others speak and rewards successes and achievement in Spoken English. It also provides some healthy competition and, on top of all of that, it's a lot of fun as well!

For Moreton girls (and boys in Moreton First) there were victories in many classes including famous speeches, verse speaking, drama and bible reading.

As ever, a huge amount of thanks must go to Merriel Halsall-Williams for all of her hard work organising the festival and teaching the Moreton participants.

This year's Festival was enriching, entertaining and rewarding.
