Getting an A* in Mathematics GCSE is Very Impressive Indeed... But Just Not Enough for Some Girls!

In addition to all the great news about GCSE results, there is a small group of girls who have achieved an extra qualification: the rather succinctly named "Free-Standing Mathematics Qualification in Additional Mathematics"... or just plain "Add Maths". These girls completed their GCSE a year, or two, early (they all got the top A* grade) and were given the opportunity to take their Mathematics to a higher level. The 11 girls who achieved this qualification were: Karina Brown, Chan Ying (Jenny), Phoebe Jackson, Emily Kiel, Georgina Lang, Harriet Lang, Linh Nguyen, Rosie Smith-Langridge, Jessica Spencer, Florence Wade-Smith, and Yang Huanyi (Melody). All passed with flying colours and an impressive 9 out of 11 girls achieved the highest possible A grade.
