We welcome applications from students from all over the world. Overseas students can join the mainstream school if they have passed our entrance examination in English and Maths. A skype interview may also be conducted to check the level of English and all applicants will be assessed on school reports.
Students who require intensive language support can join our International Study Centre programme, where they will be given regular progress checks, at the end of which they will be tested to ensure that they are ready for full immersion in the main school. It is strongly recommended that students wishing to enter the Sixth Form at Moreton Hall or other schools enrol on the pre-A Level course in the ISC.
Upon arrival at Moreton Hall, pupils are tested again in English to determine the amount of EAL support they require. All pupils are given the opportunity to sit an English Language examination, such as PET/FCE or IGCSE (second Language). Sixth formers work towards the IELTS examination and are taught in small groups. All overseas pupils are supported by the EAL trained teachers in the ISC and are encouraged to ask for extra help whenever they need it. There is no extra charge for EAL lessons.
Indian students should contact our agent, ASIS. Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong students should contact our Director of International Recruitment, Victoria Eastman. All other overseas students should complete the School Registration Form. There is a registration fee of £150.
We also offer short-stay 'taster' sessions, either in the ISC or main school, for students who are considering joining a boarding school.
