Molly, U5, is jumping for joy from her latest show jumping achievement, as she will compete in the final of the prestigious Horse of The Year Show taking place on October 5th at the NEC in Birmingham. Multiple qualifying rounds took place earlier this year, from May to August, with a vast amount of competitors from all over the UK. The top two competitors from each round receive a coveted place in the final. Molly journeyed 8 hours to Aberdeen in July to compete in her qualifying round and although a huge amount of talent was prevalent from all the show jumpers, Molly excelled above her competitors and came second.
There is little time to celebrate though as the final is rapidly approaching where she will compete against 24 other show jumpers. Molly said ‘I’m nervous, but I’m going to give it my best shot’. Her determination is clear as she has stepped up her practising and is even receiving expert training from Olympic show jumper, Geoff Billington.
