Two students from Moreton Hall rowed to victory over the weekend at the Shrewsbury School Regatta. Abby (aged 13) and Eva (aged 12) have been rowing for less than a year, having only started in September, but they stormed through the heats to make the semi-finals with grit and determination. Competition, as expected, was fierce but the duo put up a strong fight in spite of their lack of experience.
Also rowing on the day were Moreton Hall students; Carys, Romy and Ella and Grace.
Michal Palamarczuk, Junior Rowing Co-ordintor said "It has been a great weekend of racing with lots of juniors on the water building the foundations of what looks like being a great regatta season, I am very proud of them all particularly the Moreton Hall girls entering their first race and winning a heat. A huge achievement for the short time they have been rowing.”
