Meet the Business People of the Future!
Designed to challenge and engage students, Moreton Hall
is hosting an innovative Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs Day on Tuesday 22nd September.
Over 200 students in Years 10 and 11 from Moreton Hall and 4
other schools will be attending this business initiative. With guest speakers
from the world of business delivering seminars and practical workshops,
the students will gain a valuable insight into the world of entrepreneurship.
The aim of the day is to design and bring to market a new
consumable product to be sold in Moreton Enterprises, Moreton Hall’s in-house,
student-run set of businesses.
Moreton Enterprises is run
by the Sixth Formers from a self-funded, purpose-built ‘Enterprise Centre’ and
boasts an annual turnover of £50,000. The initiative has been running for over
30 years and its focus remains the same as in those early days: to
challenge and inspire young women by nurturing a culture of enterprise and
entrepreneurship in the heart of the school.
Principal, Jonathan Forster comments: "Business skills
such as leadership, team work, creativity, negotiation and planning are
critical in so many areas of life. We feel days like this help students to
develop these skills in a fun environment. We are delighted that students from
The Marches, Lakelands, Oswestry School and St Martins will get to share our
passion for business on our inaugural Entrepreneurs Day."
