The Moreton Hall lacrosse teams had another successful day at the North Schools’ Lacrosse tournament at Queen Margaret’s York, with the 2nd team being crowned winners of their group.
The 1st team beat Harrogate Ladies College (4-0), Bolton (2-1), and Withington (7-2) to be placed 2nd overall in their group in what was a close fought competition with the top teams all losing a match.
The 2nd team won all but one of their matches; they beat Harrogate Ladies College (6-0), Queen Margaret’s York 3rd Team (4-0), Sedbergh School (4-3), Queen Margaret’s York 2nd Team (4-0), Moreton Hall 3rd Team (4-0) to be crowned winners of the group.
Moreton’s 3rd team showed fantastic depth and won their matched against Harrogate Ladies College (3-0), Queen Margaret’s York 3rd Team (3-1) and Sedbergh School ( 2-1).
Head of Sport, Kate Groves, commented: “It was great to see Moreton field three excellent teams; it really shows the depth and strength of lacrosse at the school. We are delighted that the 2nd team came out on top and are looking forward to the rest of the season.”
