The Moreton Hall lacrosse teams had a very successful weekend of sport with the U15 team being crowned North Schools' Lacrosse Winners.
This weekend saw a packed couple of days of sport for all the Moreton lacrosse teams with the North Schools' Tournament on Saturday 6th and the Top Test Tournamnet on the 7th.
North Schools' Tournament
The Moreton U14 A & B and U15 Team travelled North on a very wet day to play in the North Schools Tournament. The weather was truly awful, however in true Moreton style our girls were brave and determined.
The U14 B Team, playing in the 'A' tournament, were placed 6th overall with a win against Queens, Chester.
The U14 A Team beat Moreton B Team 5-0, Packwood 5-1, Queens, Chester 1-0, drew with Harrogate 3-3, drew Queen Margaret's 1-1 and lost to Bolton 1-2. They were placed 3rd overall.
The U15 Team continued their fantastic form by beating Shrewsbury School 12-2, Birkenhead 9-0, Queen Margaret's 8-3, Queens 11-0 and Bolton 10-0. They were overall winners being crowned the North Schools' Champions.
Top Test Tournament
This year for the first time, Moreton took a 1st and U15 Team down to St Helen's and St Katharine's, Abingdon to play in the Top Test Tournament. This tournament is designed to help schools prepare for the National Schools Lacrosse Tournament and for Moreton, it gave us the chance to play many schools from the South. Both teams did exceptionally well on the day and recording the following results:
