Moreton’s Public Speakers Gain First Place at BPW Competition

Moreton Hall students walked away from the Business and Professional Women's Public Speaking Competition with awards, confirming their outstanding abilities in the field. The competition saw Moreton’s A team win the event and qualify for the Regional Finals.

"It was a very high standard of competition", explains Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall-Williams. "We are delighted with the result and both teams presented themselves with considerable confidence – both speakers were excellent." The A team’s topic was ‘How lucky we are to be alive now’ and the B team spoke on ‘Antibiotic resistance.’

The Regional Finals will take place in Blackburn on Sunday, 26th February 2017.
