Nine Talented Players Represent Region in National Tournament

Nine Moreton Lacrosse players participated in English Lacrosse’s Regional Academy at Nottingham Trent University on Sunday 23rd April. A staggering number of girls were selected to play for the North Regional U15 and U17 teams in this challenging tournament, where they relished the opportunity to showcase their talent at this important event.

The Regional Tournament is part of the English Lacrosse’s ‘Girls Talent Pathway’ where girls may get the chance to represent England on the national and international stage. Milly (U5) was selected to play for U19 England A Team earlier this year after excelling in this process.

Five Moretonians played in the U15 team:

Milly
Alysha
Mimi
Yasmin
Verity

Four Moretonians played in the U17 team:

Rosie
Lottie
Ellie
Coco

The girls played excellently and were a credit to Moreton. From this, they will wait to hear who has been offered a trial at National Academy. At National Academy, players are assessed on their ability and the England squads are decided.
