Science Challenge Day

Science Challenge Day

Moreton Hall welcomed 160 pupils from eight schools across Shropshire and North Wales this week for their annual Junior Science Challenge Day. Pupils took part in a variety of activities from setting up their own Crime Scene Investigation Lab, designing the most efficient sails for boats, spending time in the mobile planetarium to finding out how to be more streamlined. Each activity was designed to allow the pupils to challenge their perceptions of the world they see around them and develop their investigative skills.

We were also joined by the presenter of Channel 4's 'Inside Natures Giant's' to talk to the pupils about the newly formed 'Ugly Animal Preservation Society', which aims to save endangered species around the world. Fun was had all round with one visitor describing it as 'The Best Yet'!
