Seven Trophies For Moreton Speakers

Young speakers came from throughout the region to compete at this year's Cheshire Festival of Speech and Drama on Saturday 9th May.

Moreton Hall pupils performed exceptionally, winning seven first place trophies, seven second place and six third places. "This is a very impressive result" commented Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall-Williams. 

First place awards went to Cordelia Harpin (11-12 Years Bible Reading), Eva Salisbury-Jones and Emma Vivien (Under 12 Duologue), Ceris Evans (Years 11-13 Poetry Reading Recital), Edith Tower and Elin Pryce (Under 13 Duo Verse Speaking), Tatyana Kahn (13-14 Years Bible Reading), Josie Clacher (Over 14 Poetry Recital) and Morgan Darcy Rees-Deacon (Years 14-15 Verse Speaking).
