The Year 6 Geography class have made colourful and creative Christmas cards for the students of the Nyakakana primary school in Kenya. The Moreton First students have done a fantastic job, as all the cards are very artistic with lovely messages inside wishing the Kenyan students well. They are now on their way to Africa to get there just in time for Christmas.
Moreton First has had a long standing relationship with the Nyakakana School; uniforms were sent to them last year and recently Moreton First has been raising money to help build Nyakakana school’s toilets. These toilets have now been built, and the Kenyan school has sent photos to say thanks, which you can see below. This toilet stands next to one that ex Head Girl and Old Moretonian Alice Smith built for the school two years ago, when visiting on her Gap Year.
