BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION

Moreton Hall students walked away from the Business and Professional Women's Public Speaking Competition this week with awards, confirming their outstanding abilities in the field. The competition saw 7 teams from schools in the area compete. "It was a competition of very high standard", explains Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall-Williams. "We are delighted with the result as it means our team now goes through to the North West Finals in February."

Photographed are the winning team of Shelby Moyer, Roisin Ni Culchain (also awarded 'Best Chairman') and Amelia Adams-Davies (who also won 'Best Vote of Thanks'). "It was a great experience to improve my confidence in public speaking as well as meeting people from different schools", said Amelia.
