EntrepreneursLive!

EntrepreneursLive!

Lower 5 and Lower 6 Business students attended the EntrepreneursLive! Conference in Salford Quays, Manchester at the start of the month. First to speak was 23 year old Fraser Doherty, who started his business “SuperJam” when he was a teenager. After initially supplying his product to local stores and through farmers’ markets, he had his first big break by becoming the youngest ever supplier to Waitrose at just 14 years old.

We also heard from Mike Longthorn of ‘WedgeWelly’ who stepped into the Dragon’s Den for real and secured funding of £65,000. We heard the full behind the scenes story and found out how terrifying the 2 hour ordeal really was. Other speakers included Vincent McKevitt founder of ‘Tossed’ and James Eder who gave an inspirational talk about setting up his business ‘StudentBeans’.
