The following pages will answer many of your queries regarding admissions to Moreton Hall.
We aim to make the admissions process as smooth, informative, transparent and stress-free as possible. If at any stage in the process you need more information than we provide here, please contact us.
The process may vary by family and according to circumstances, but in general the steps are as follows:
- Visit school if possible 1 to 2 years prior to entry
- Register as soon as possible
- Sit Entrance/Scholarship examination in the January prior to entry (November for Sixth Form)
- Offers made by school in the February prior to entry
- Acceptance required with deposit by Easter
- 11+ and 13+ Information day in the June prior to entry
- Sixth Form induction weekend after GCSEs (late June)
- Students start at school September
Please note that any student wishing to apply at the age of 11 (Year 6) for a deferred entry place at 13 (Year 9) will be invited to sit the entrance exams in the January of Year 6.
The best way to get a feel for the school, its students and its staff is to come and visit us. We encourage all families who have any potential interest in the school to come and meet Jonathan Forster, the Principal and to take a tour of the school with current students. Students are always welcome to come for a taster day (and night, if they wish) at a time that suits.
