The 1st and U15 Lacrosse teams achieved a remarkable double last week, when they competed in the prestigious National Schools' Competition held at Imperial College, London.
As the pinnacle of the schools' Lacrosse calendar, the event brings together the very best qualifying teams and Moreton's performance cemented their reputation as one of the best Lacrosse playing schools in the country.
At the end of a gruelling two days of matches, the 1st team were ranked in the top ten teams nationally, outperforming much larger schools such as Wycombe Abbey, Marlborough, Cheltenham Ladies' College, Stowe, St. Pauls and St. Marys Calne.
Similarly, the very promising U15 team put in an outstanding performance and were placed in the top eight schools nationally ahead of Benenden, Cheltenham Ladies' College, Stowe and Wycombe Abbey. Head of P.E. Kate Groves was delighted. "These results come at a great time, just as Moreton is establishing a partnershipwith the English Lacrosse Association to take our Lacrosse to the next level."
