Matthew Dennison, historian, writer and part-time teacher at Moreton Hall (History and Oxbridge preparation tuition), featured in BBC 2's recent 3 part documentary, Queen Victoria's Children, screened on January 1st to 3rd. The documentary examined Victoria's relationship with her nine children - the youngest of whom, Beatrice, was the subject of Matthew's first biography, 'The Last Princess'. Interviews were filmed in the London house which had previously been used as the chief location in the film, 'The King's Speech'. Offering insight into the filming of the documentary, Matthew explained: 'I was grilled for three hours about every angle of Queen Victoria's relationships with her children and was then pounced upon intermittently by a very conscientious make up artist and - alarmingly - Boris Johnson's hairdresser. It was quite an experience!'
