Songwriting Schoolgirls Qualify for Regional Finals

Moreton Hall girls, S.S. (16) and E.T-J. (14) auditioned separately for Live and Unsigned at the NEC last Saturday. This is said to be the UK's largest music competition for unsigned acts. S.S. sang and played the guitar, E.T-J. just sang, but both performed original pieces which they had written themselves.

'It was pretty scary,' admitted S.S., 'but we were so thrilled to make it through to the Regional Showcase Finals in March where the judges will be from Radio 1, Karrang, record labels and BBC Introducing.'

Now the girls have to raise sponsorship money to help them fund the next round. S.S. song will be available on YouTube from Sunday.
