Four Moreton Sixth Form scientists took part in the final of this prestigious competition at Imperial College last month. Phoebe Griffith, Lottie Eyre, Bethan Doyle and Millie Adams-Davies were joined by over 160 other UK finalists. The students carried out an intensive industry simulation of meeting a demanding design brief - in this case to design a mining settlement on the surface of Mercury for 10,500 people.
Phoebe and Millie received two of the eight special awards at the end of the process - Phoebe for outstanding leadership, and Millie for exceptional scientific insight. They have both been invited as VIP guests to a prestigious scientific lecture at Oxford University in May.
