The Careers Convention was once again a great success with University delegates coming from as far afield as Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham and Exeter. Fourteen of the delegates were Old Moretonians, and their support was particularly welcome in this our Centenary year.
Upper 5 and Lower 6 girls - accompanied by their parents - were able to speak to over 50 representatives of many professions including design, business, media, property, health professions, law and the armed forces. Two local secondary schools also found the event highly valuable and brought along 40 of their students.
Seminars on subjects such as Choosing the Best University, Taking a Gap Year, Opportunities in Broadcasting and the Media and Marketing - were all well supported and gave very valuable insights into aspects of Higher Education and the world of work.
We are very grateful to all involved.
