Durham University’s leading assessment for ‘value added’ in secondary school education has once again ranked Moreton Hall as one of the UK’s top performing schools.
The MidYIS (Middle Years Information System) Baseline Assessments for secondary schools is one of the UK’s most highly regarded methods for measuring how a school develops a child’s academic abilities.
Over 200,000 pupils of secondary age sit the MidYIS assessments each year. The tests aim to evaluate a child’s potential in Year 9 and then compare those marks with the actual GCSE grades achieved three years later.
Moreton ranks consistently highly on ‘adding value’ to a child’s education and this year we were placed in the top 2% of schools nationally. These strong results once again demonstrate that a Moreton education ensures that students exceed academic expectations.
