First Steps Nursery offers a safe, caring, stimulating environment for young children within the grounds of Moreton Hall in a purpose-designed facility. We can accommodate approximately 50 children in term time and school holidays. First Steps Nursery aims to work with parents to ensure that the first experience in every child’s education is a positive, happy one, where he or she feels comfortable to explore and develop in a nurturing environment.
Within an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement, we endeavour to develop self-discipline and self-esteem in children, preparing them for the next step in their lives. Our focus is on making learning enjoyable from a very early age.
Our key staff are all highly qualified, with significant experience in childcare and early years education. All of our staff are very carefully selected and vetted for their qualifications, suitability, experience and attitude.
During the day we offer a wide range of structured and non-structured activities to suit the needs of each individual child. An informal programme is carefully developed to guarantee that each day contains variety and stimulation. Activities include Personal and Social Development, Language and Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World, Physical Development, Creative Expressive Arts and Design, Dance, Music and Sport. To enhance the opportunities available to our Nursery and Transition children we offer:
- Gym minis
- Sing and Sign
- Forest School
- Languages including Welsh, French, Spanish and Chinese (Transition Class)
Please come and have a look at the beautiful facilities we enjoy at First Steps, meet our staff and introduce your child to the outstanding opportunities for play and learning that we provide at First Steps.
