Seventy five guests gathered in the spectacular setting of Iscoyd Park for a dinner in aid of the new Holroyd Community Theatre. Parents, Old Moretonians, and friends of the school were treated to jazz saxophone improvisations, show choir classics, vocal solos, and a sneak preview from Chicago.
Director and choreographer of Chicago, Kate Howells, commented: “Wow, what an evening! The backdrop to the event was beautiful. Once again the Moreton girls rose to the challenge and gave an outstanding performance. Their professionalism never fails to amaze me and it really is like watching professional performers when they take to the stage.
“The whole day was fantastic from start to finish. The girls ensuring they supported each other, the older pupils helping the younger years with hair and make-up; it was a pleasure to be a part of it.”
Moreton gives a special thanks to Phil and Susie Godsal for allowing the school to utilise Iscoyd Park as the venue for the event and to their team who delivered the most wonderful service and exquisite dinner.
