Over 60 students from a number of schools attended the annual 'Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs' day at Moreton this week. Guest speakers from the world of business delivered seminars and practical workshops, with students gaining valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship. Students were asked to design and bring to market a new mobile app and during the day, seminars covered Market Research, Product Development, Design, Finance and Pitching.
Principal, Jonathan Forster comments: "Business skills such as leadership, team work, creativity, negotiation and planning are critical in so many areas of life. We feel days like this help students to develop these skills in a fun environment. We are delighted that students from Oswestry School and The Marches got to share our passion for business at this event."
The winning team came up with 'Sport&Go', an app to improve and enhance sporting ability, fitness and technique. The Dragons were impressed with their engaging pitch, particularly their product's functions and design.
