Isla and Emma Take the First Step on the England Lacrosse Talent Pathway

Across England Schools and Clubs nominate their best Lacrosse talent to complete a regional assessment, where the coaches assess the girls and invite successful players to join the Regional Academy.

Moreton is delighted to confirm that both Isla and Emma have been accepted in the North Regional Academy.

Head of Lacrosse Coaching, Miss Harrington, reflected on the girls’ achievement:

“This is a great opportunity for the girls and is the first stepping stone to representing their country. They will gain invaluable experience at Regional Academy and have the opportunity to play with and against girls from all over the North.”

Emma added:

“When I went for trials at the England Lacrosse Academy there were lots of different schools there that we had played in previous matches. We spent the day being assessed on our ability to attack, defend and control the ball.

“Being accepted into the Academy is one step closer to my dream of playing Lacrosse for England!”

Isla was equally thrilled to hear the news:

“I was not sure if I was going to be selected seeing the high standards of the people that were there.

“When I got the news, I was so pleased to get a place in the England Regional Lacrosse Pathway, and I can’t wait for the next camp days in October.”
