Lacrosse Wins vs Shrewsbury

The U15 A and B lacrosse teams both beat Shrewsbury school yesterday in miserable weather conditions.

U15 A

The team started slowly in the first half, they created great opportunities for themselves but struggled to get the shot away. Shrewsbury were quick through the midfield which meant the girls in defence had to be ready for a turn over. After a good half time talk the girls came out with determination and intensity. They were quick on the draw and transitioned the ball down to attack well. The midfield worked hard to press the ball which meant the defensive rarely had to defend in the second half. The teams attack was fluid and with all players in attack scoring, it showed the depth the team has. MVP went to Rosie for scoring 100% of the shots she took and for her work rate and determination in the midfield. Well done to all!

Final score - Won 21 - 4

U15 B

In some awful conditions, a mixed U15 B and U14 team played Shrewsbury School who similarly fielded a combination of the two age groups. It took a while for us to play as a team, whilst the Shrewsbury goalkeeper did an amazing job of saving the majority of our shots. During the second half we were the dominant team due to the fact that both in our passing and movement around the goal improved considerably. MVP went to Eliza for excellent work rate in the mid-field.

Final score - Won 11 - 4
