The First team started the lacrosse season on a high by winning their first match against Bolton School, 11-8. Bolton proved to be a fast and aggressive opposition putting up a tough match. This forced the Moreton team to step up in the second half, showing their potential for this season, particularly as there were a few regular team players missing.
There is plenty to work on, although with the addition of Hollie Harrington to the coaching team, the girls are optimistic for the forthcoming season. Hollie is a current England lacrosse player and has been brought in as a specialist lacrosse coach. Louise Lewin, coach, was full of optimism looking ahead to the coming season: “Whilst there is plenty of room for improvement, I was pleased with individual performances. Liv made an excellent start to her season as Captain and was supported well by Molly and Alice. Becca also had a good game and I was delighted with Milly's performance for someone so young.”
