The school has a long-held ethos of community involvement. Facilities at Moreton are continually shared with local groups and the school actively welcomes community use.
Moreton Hall is the home of North Shropshire Music, (NSM): a centre or ‘hub’ of musical excellence within the region. NSM consists of three thriving ensembles: The Training Orchestra, a Schools Orchestra and the Big Sing, which all take place at Moreton Hall and are run by professional choral and orchestral directors and supported by the Moreton Music department.
Local students including the Oswestry Otters, Chirk Dragons and the Special Olympics also use the pool and sports facilities.
One of the founding aims of the new Holroyd Community Theatre is that it is accessible to everyone. Alongside a professional theatre programme of events taking place throughout the year; the theatre facility will be used regularly by local community and charity groups, amateur drama societies and arts organisations, making full use of the theatre outside Moreton’s teaching timetable.
If you are a community group or charity and would like to enquire about using Moreton’s facilities, please contact Rob Watkinson Facilities Manager, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
