North Shropshire Music

North Shropshire Music is an exciting new initiative offering a range of opportunities for local musicians in the North Shropshire and Welsh Border areas.

NSM is a Centre of Musical Excellence offering all ages and abilities to participate in a larger ensembles. NSM currently consists of three thriving ensembles: a Childrens' Choir for Years 4, 5, 6 and 7; a Training Orchestra for any instrumentalist from beginner to grade 3 and a Schools' Orchestra from Grade 3 upwards. The orchestras take place weekly during term time and the Childrens' choir will meet monthly.

This new initiative for the local community is based at Moreton Hall and is fully supported by the Shropshire Music Educational Hub. There are certainly exciting times ahead!

It's marvellous what you achieved with the children of the choir: from novices to nightingales in a handful of rehearsals. We were so impressed by their performance at the concert. Clarrie's loved doing it. Thank you!

I just wanted to say thank you for the brilliant choir practice and final performance. Laura’s singing has improved so much since attending the monthly choir sessions. Her voice has become much stronger. She absolutely loves singing enjoys attending the choir lessons you run. We absolutely loved the end of year performance, Laura really enjoyed it. Thank you so much, it has been so beneficial and such a positive experience.
