Continuing to be rated OUTSTANDING in the care of children for the fourth consecutive ISI inspection
The Pre-Prep infant department at Moreton First welcomes boys and girls aged from three to seven years. This is where the adventure of learning in a school setting starts as children enter Transition Class.
Our team of dedicated teaching staff guides the children through these early years. The child-centred curriculum is rich in variety, engaging for all, whilst numerous essential opportunities for creative and exploitative play are available throughout the day. Specialist teachers supplement the provision throughout the week with age-appropriate lessons in subjects such as Mandarin and Spanish along with Swimming, Drama, Sports and Music. The classrooms are designed around the needs of our youngest pupils, enabling free-flow play outside and inside.
Being part of the Moreton family, sharing playtimes and stimulating outdoor facilities, children move easily along to Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 2. Here the preparatory curriculum broadens, allowing gentle but more formal lessons in English and Mathematics. Ability based teaching groups ensure pupils are supported and challenged.
Each day there is time for individual reading with an adult and a time to hear a story read aloud, establishing a love of literature, which we believe is the bedrock of learning.
Guided sensitively along their own unique path of learning.
