Sarah Parkes’ Competition, 2019

Reading from The Book of Common Prayer, twelve Moretonians took to the podium in the annual Sarah Parkes' Competition. The competition, created by Dr Giles Parkes in memory of his late daughter Sarah, was judged by Reverend Simon Airey and Sarah's sister Celia Jenkins.

Coco was placed first in the Senior competition, and Elin placed second. For the junior section, Lizzie was awarded first place, and Eleanor second place.

Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall-Williams, commented: "The girls all worked really hard and read with confidence and clarity. Both winners go forward to the national finals in February at The Old Palace, Worcester."
