The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) recently announced the highest achieving UK IGCSE Geography candidate in the June 2015 session as Moreton Hall pupil, Selina Schoelles. Selina scored an impressive 97% across all three Geography papers, one of her 12 A*s at GCSE.
She comments: "I was absolutely astonished when my Geography teacher, Mr Nanson, told me that I had achieved the highest IGCSE Geography result in this global examination. I still can't quite believe it now, it just seems so surreal! I am over the moon of course and so grateful for the wonderful education and opportunities that Moreton offers. I am now studying History, English, Biology and Ancient Greek with a view to reading History at university."
John Nanson adds: "The Moreton Hall Geography Department changed to the IGCSE - run by Cambridge University - three years ago because it contains more intellectual rigor than the current UK GCSEs and prepares the girls really well for A Level. We are all delighted that Selina has achieved the highest mark in this international examination."
