UK Senior Maths Challenge

UK Senior Maths Challenge

The UK Senior Maths Challenge took place on Thursday 7th November. This is a 90 minute, multiple-choice competition which encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The challenge is sat nationally across the UK.

This year, Moreton was awarded a record 45 awards, with 7 students qualifying for the next stage of the competition - the Senior Kangaroo. This will take place later in the year.

Why is it called the Kangaroo? The name Kangaroo acknowledges the contribution made by Australia in establishing large-scale mathematics contests. Rest assured, any certificate awarded in the Challenge is recognition of a great deal of skill in Mathematics. Well done, to the certificate winners!
