Young Artists on Show at National Gallery
Young artists from Years 3 and 4 in Moreton First are delighted to have had their work selected for 'The Take One Picture Exhibition' at The National Gallery in London's Trafalgar Square. Head of Art, Jan Miller comments: "This is the first year that we have entered, so we were very pleased to be chosen. The children have created some very impressive work!"
Their work will be displayed for several weeks during the summer.
All Juniors have responded in various ways to one of the gallery's most famous paintings, Saint Michael Triumphant over the Devil, 1468 by Bartolome Bermejo, creating pieces as diverse as glazed tiles, felt making a figure that was bigger than lifesize and full sized paintings of Saint Michael.
